Reviews and Ratings
My stay at the hotel was convenient due to its quiet location near New Walk, which allowed for a pleasant walk into the city center. The room was cozy but had some noise disturbances from the kitchen below. The dining experience was good, although there were delays in service. The staff was incredibly helpful and accommodating.
The hotel had a charming Victorian-era style but was a bit worn-out, yet it offered essential amenities like a fridge, safe, dressing gown, and slippers. The breakfast choices were standard but of good quality. The standout feature was the excellent staff, especially the night porter who accommodated our late-night returns, all for a reasonable price of £55. Overall, the stay was comfortable and well laid out.
My stay at the hotel was a mixed experience. The rooms were spacious, clean, and well-appointed, but the temperature outside our room was uncomfortably hot, and the actual look of the room differed from the photos provided. The service provided was pleasant and the staff were really helpful, especially with accommodating people with disabilities. Although there were some delays in delivering items like butter, the overall service was satisfactory. The location of the hotel was perfect, with convenient parking, making it a quiet retreat. While some areas looked dated, the room itself was large, spotlessly clean, and had ample facilities. The proximity to attractions like the Cathedral and Richard III's tomb was a bonus, but the Masonic hall nearby might not suit everyone's taste. The dining experience was a bit underwhelming, with pre-cooked breakfast items and occasional shortages. Despite these drawbacks, the fresh fruit and pastries were highlights. As for the facilities, they met basic needs but nothing exceptional. Overall, the hotel has its ups and downs.
I was pleasantly surprised by the exceptional quality of the rooms, with amazing, comfortable beds and a nice, spacious bathroom that was perfect for business trips. The luxurious bedding and excellent pillows made my stay truly relaxing. However, the service had some hiccups as the computer system caused delays in payment, impacting the overall experience. The hotel's prime location near the train station and various amenities made it convenient, though the room service could have been more efficient. Despite some dining mishaps, the friendly staff made up for it with their warm hospitality.
The hotel is in a lovely, stylish location with plenty of amenities from tea and coffee to towels and shampoo and conditioner; however, it does show some signs of wear and tear. The service was exceptional but had a minor incident of rudeness. The location was excellent for exploring the city with a pleasant walk. The dining experience was good but slightly lacking in temperature for some items.
I found the hotel to be a real gem, tucked away in a quiet area but close enough to stroll into town. The rooms, although not the most modern, offer a cozy and comfortable stay. The service was exceptional, going above and beyond to make my trip with my children stress-free. While the dining experience could use a little more attention to detail, the location and spacious rooms truly made up for it.
The hotel room was very clean and the facilities met my expectations. It overlooked the church, which was a nice touch; however, I felt the price tag didn't quite match up.
My stay at the hotel was a mix of positives and negatives. The room, though clean and comfortable with good tea/coffee facilities, had a noisy view of the carpark and generator. The service was outstandingly friendly and helpful, but the dining experience was a bit of a letdown. The location was comfortable and convenient for various attractions, yet with a touch of decor mismatch. Ultimately, a decent stay with some room for improvement.
I had a pleasant stay at the hotel. The rooms were incredible, but I was under the impression that the Superior Double Room would be significantly larger. The location was perfect for our needs, and the breakfast was nice. However, rooms should not have been allocated until the toilet problem had been resolved.
